Default Flopped the boat...Wheres the action?

1000 NL table on party. I have 600 everyone else has 800+. I'm sitting on the button with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Early position raises to 50, 3 callers, I call.
Was thinking of raising but decided to play it for set value. Flop comes 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. PERFECT. everyone checks around to me so I check hoping someone has clubs. A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] comes on turn. Everyone checks around to me. Would you check here? I threw out 100 just to get the pot going and everyone folds. Should I have checked it to the river ya think?

I think a pre-flop raise would be horrible in that spot. Pot the flop

Flat call the flop. I usually wait til the river, but betting the flop is alright if you are pretty lag.

I think the two choices are either:

1: Throw out a small bet on the flop, or
2: Wait till the river, and hope any ace will bet into you

is it just me or is it not PERFECT to have the board paired b/c overpairs will slow down more if you give them action?

as for the play of the hand, if you check behind and the flop and then suddenly spring to life later in the hand, you are marked with a monster. better to bet out representing a jack and hope that someone misreads your hand.

I would bet the flop but small - maybe 1/3 pot or so to make it look like you are trying to steal it.

If there are some aggressive players on table someone might try to re-steal. Also you hope two clubs will give you action on the turn but there is also the distinct possibility that another club will completely kill the action - so bet the flop.
