Default TPTK faces flop resistance...common situation

Very common situation... I am never exactly sure how to deal with this.

Live game, .25/50 NL.. $20 buyin (only 40x BB)
Hero has about $20
Villain covers

Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in MP
Preflop:
2 limpers
Hero raises to $2
2 callers, rest fold.

Flop: ($6)
A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero leads for $5
Villain reraises to $10-15 dollars (usually 10)
Rest Fold

Hero?

Other notes:

Preflop play means NOTHING at this live table. Hand ranges for those that call prelfop raises is just as wide as if they had limped in for .50. People will play any 2 suited cards.

I always feel like I have to call down here since I've already committed $7 of my $20. However, I'd say that the majority of the time, I end up losing to a set or two-pair.

Opponents at this table will raise to protect their top-pair, but they'll also raise with a strong hand.

What goes through your mind in these situations to decide whehter to push or fold?

Your first mistake was preflop. I would have raised to at least 3.00.
After the raise I probably push. If you call your committed anyway with the short stacks.

yeah, just get it all-in for less than 50bb, its very safe to say all of us are happy to get all our chips in the middle on the flop if we face any aggression w/ tptk

This is a tough call either way and is totally based on your read of the opposing player. Are you willing to go all in with top pair, TPTK, two pair? Trips is a definite yes, but TPTK, 2pair are strictly judgement calls based on your read of the situation.

Ya, unfortunately this is the format of the game we play.

So, you just call here? What's the plan for the turn/river?
Bet turn, fold to another raise?

I'm pretty much committed if I call this raise...should I just push this flop every time? Seems really aggressive with just TPTK.

The only thing in my mind is have I seen villain bluff this situation before, and if so, what frequency. Unless I can put him on a steal I'm going to fold.

Players that call with any 2 make it easy to tighten up pre-flop and make them pay. If they call $5 then make it $10 pre-flop. See whose willing to put half their stack in and draw to trash. Push the flop.
