Default Pocket A\'s trouble hand, feel free to rip....

Villian here is a fish, has a 60 vpip, doesn't raise much

PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop: (10 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero raises, MP2 folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (9 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

River: (17 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero calls

Final Pot: 17 BB
I probably shouldn't have raised the second time, but nothing on the board looked scary.

hmmm...is he a thinking player? the reason i ask is because a stop-n-go from a thinking player is to deny someone a free card that may be raising a flush draw when a blank comes on the turn...at least that's what i've seen.

if not, just call down IMHO. i do think you're toast on the rivered king though

I think its fine.

Stop and go's are weird, but theres no other way to play it.

I think I would have played it the same way.

There's 4 people in on the turn with you. You don't have to be ahead very often for this raise to be a good idea. Nice hand.

Nice hand, even if he flips a K. You did all you could do, it's not like you can call anywhere. Stop n go's suck in my book. I just don't see the logic.

Looks like your fish flopped a set.

He didn't flop a set, but the river K sure did help him. Thanks for the info, just making sure I played it correctly. Didn't know if I should have paid attention to the call, then he picks up again on the turn.
