Things will change in coming years.

In the past, there have consistently been several things working against the Big Ten.

First, the key matchups always seemed to have the ACC team at home. This has been a huge factor. Second, The Big Ten has always mysteriously had its bottom 3 or 4 teams included with several of its mid tier teams excluded because of the ACC having had only 9 teams. Now that the conferences line up side by side, this will change. It'll truly be top to bottom matchups. Call me a conspiracy theorist (ACCSPN) regarding the home court thing, but there's no denying the other aspect, which will dramatically change. The matchups have always been pretty curious and more tailored towards TV matchups rather than actually lining up the conferences top to bottom and playing to see the results.

Craig Smith, one of the best in the country baby! I'm going to cringe every time he kisses Coach K's ass Wednesday.

GT played strong, but just barely missed out

I can't wait to start upsetting people later in the year.

Let me run down the final 88 seconds from GT's perspective

1:28 Anthony Morrow made Three Point Jumper. Assisted by Zam (Buck) Fredrick II.
0:59 Anthony Morrow made Three Point Jumper. Assisted by Zam (Buck) Fredrick II.
0:39 Mario West made Three Point Jumper. Assisted by Jeremis Smith.
0:25 Anthony Morrow made Three Point Jumper.
0:13 Ra'Sean Dickey made Three Point Jumper.
0:02 Zam (Buck) Fredrick II missed Three Point Jumper.

Yeah, I'm sure you weren't sweating a thing

Dean Smith would be proud of your rationalizations. If you listened to his post-game comments over the years, UNC never lost a game due to being outplayed.
