Chances of flopping a boat
I was taking a shot at 100nl tonight (Im a 50 player) and I flopped a boat and doubled through. I know I was lucky. How lucky was I? I dont think I've flopped one for quite some time...I was on the button too.

Re: Chances of flopping a boat
There are 3 of card x and 3 of card y remaining in the deck of 50, the first card has a 6/50 chance of being an x or y, the second card has a 5/49 and the third card has a 4/48 less the 3! *2 time when hit quads = 108/117600 or right around 1/1089 times.

Re: Chances of flopping a boat
The chances to flop a boat and only a boat, when holding suited connectors, or any unpaired hand, are:
2*C(3,2)*3/C(50,3)=~.09% |
