Ed ... you stole my strategy!
Heh.
Thanks for finally putting in print what I've been doing for a long time now. Ultra-tight, short stack strategy for NL. I don't mind the secret (lol) getting out, not one person in a thousand will stick to it. But if there is such a thing as basic strategy for NL, you got it. My only disappointment was that lack of post-flop play, so I'll throw in my two cents ... Just push, regardless of the flop. Best, Zim (ps and I'd drop KQ and AT) |

Always push? No matter what comes, no matter what the action is infront of you?

Re: Ed ... you stole my strategy!
As with everything in poker - that is the general rule. Of course the all-in with anything is subject to position, reads, players in the hand, and flop texture. If you raised with QQ in late position and the flop comes 567 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], and there are 4 bettors in front of you, I'be cautious and want to analyze before pushing. Are the bettors good players with deep stacks? If so, you might consider tossing this kind of hand. Then again, if they are terrible players who bluff often and are readable (ie: would not call a large raise with 56o), push with QQ.

Re: Ed ... you stole my strategy!
The general strategy is to move all-in with the queens. All the other stuff I mentioned was the "not general" part

not one person in a thousand will stick to it. [/ QUOTE ] So true, I went around and cleared a bunch of old bonus money using this strategy and then decided I'd keep doing it for awhile...it lasted three days...ugh. |

Re: Ed ... you stole my strategy!
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but are you guys making fun of him by saying always go all in?
