too much respect?
Villain is 16/12/2.3/29 after 390 hands. Weak sauce or hot sauce?

Re: too much respect?
please tell me this was a joke or error or something. people dont flop flushes that often, until another spade hits i'm not worried. we still have 4 outs on the river if we're behind and i seriously doubt we are.

Re: too much respect?
Unless SB is on a complete bluff, what does he check raise with that bottom 2 pair beats?

Re: too much respect?
I'd definitely call down, but I think people are over estimating how often hero is ahead here. The only "real" check raising hand that a decent villain has here that hero beats is Ax.

Re: too much respect?
I just want to say, I would call down too. I'm giving reasons why his turn fold sucks.

Re: too much respect?
Whoa. You're right. I completely overlooked villains stats which I just noticed. He's a tighty.
If he's a thinking player--top two pair, any two pair, or a set on the flop is betting out and/or re-raising for both value and protection. A check raise on the turn screams to me "I have an ace with no spade kicker or low spade kicker and I wait until the turn to protect my ace." Even more reason to at least call down and not fold. Of course, the occasional flopped flush will come and bite you, but you will win more in the longrun with bottom two pair than you will lose to flopped flushes. |

Any ace, K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], pocket pairs with a spade, lots more.

Re: too much respect?
I'd call down. He seems like the type to wait for a blank turn to do something with an ace.
