Default DeLay rhymes with betrayed - so he MUST be guilty

What a brilliant ad that talks at the level of the people who must be fooled about DeLay. This ad from drivedemocracy.org

"Betrayed by Tom DeLay. It rhymes. Betrayed. DeLayed.

DeLay lost his job as House Majority Leader when he was indicted for money laundering and criminal conspiracy.

He’s been admonished three times by the House Ethics Committee for the way he’s treated us.

Tom DeLay betrayed his voters. His voters.

His former aide called religious conservatives “wackos.” And tried to fool them at the polls.

He and his aides cozied up to a foreign country that forced pregnant workers to get abortions. Forced abortions. And it was all connected to DeLay’s buddy, disgraced and indicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

You know about Abramoff. He took millions from his clients. And did favors for Delay. Sounds like DeLay. Sounds like we’ve been betrayed.

Help us speak out against corruption. That’s all we ask."

Clearly, these people are morons. DeLay is obviously present tense, and does not rhyme with the past tense "betrayed."

Ahhhh, but it does rhyme with the present tense. ergo, he wasn't a betrayer and is now. And if he wasn't a betrayer then Ronnie Earle's charges are/were all false, ergo, acquital is absolutely called for, ergo, DeLay's supporters were all correct, ergo, DeLay's detractors were all incorrect.

We could have fun with this:

Kerry rhymes with Fairy

Hillary rhymes with Pillory

Gore rhymes with Bore

Dean rhymes with Mean

Bush rhymes with Tush

B&P, you don't seem to be getting a lot of fun-seekers. But, in keeping with your idea (which I like a lot because this place, IMO, needs some occasional pantie untwisting), I had a later thought about the "tense" of the word back there...

<ul type="square"> If tha tense don't fit, you must aquit! *
OK, it's not that great. Shoot me. Flame me. Just don't blame me. (at least I tried)

* with apologies to the memory of Johnny Cochran
