By the way, where will Damon hit in the Yankee lineup?

They'd be dumb to knock Jeter from the leadoff spot. Doesn't seem like he'll be anywhere above 7th in the order, possibly a "second leadoff" man.

Just another example of Scott Boras working his magic. He probably started off with something absurd like 7 years for $105M, and then just gradually worked his way down to 4 years, $52M, which sounds like a steal!

THIS SIGNING ROCKS FOR THE YANKS!!!

and it's obvious how painful it is for the red sox fans, as they immediately try to mock it with RIDICULOUS points.

HAHA!! u guys got the rug pulled out from under you AGAIN!!!

HAAAA HAAAAA!!!!

Think of the lineup 1. Damon, 2. jeter, 3. A-Rod 4. Sheffield 5. Giambi, 6. Matsui, 7. All the other guys they're gonna get this offseason!!!

Starting: Randy Johnson, set up: Dotel, closer: Rivera

Ahh, the joy of being a yankee fan!!! thanks yet again, Steinbrenner!!!

...and do you guys realize that Damon fits exactly what the yankees need: 1. a true leadoff hitter, 2. a star centerfielder.

FANTASTIC MOVE BY THE YANKS.

and damon is worth at least 11 million a year.

--and now the Red Sox look like fools.

Fine, I will be a homer fool. Someone hold the money and we can bet (Sublime, Clarkmeister, etc..) that BOS will win more games than NYY (same record is a push). Tell me for how much.
