Can't go wrong with a Mac & Jacks African Amber out of WA. The Serengeti Wheat Hefeweizen they brew is also very good.

I love their Christmas beer, Delerium Noel. There's just something about Santa Claus being pulled across the sky by pink elephants that makes me smile.

That stuff OWNED me when I drank it.

Thank god someone put this on here. Great beer.

I'm also a big fan of the Angelic's beers (I think they brew them) and the German imports (I believe Franzikaner is one) at the Essen Haus.

Madison's a great beer city.

You HAVE to try Chimay. I think it's a lager.

[/ QUOTE ]

nope, chimay makes ales, as do all trappist breweries. i did find an unsigned review which likened the chimay XXX to a lager, but i dont really agree with it. it certainly is a pale beer, but so are all triples. aside from my not liking it as much as many other triple/golden/strong ales i dont recognize it as more similar to lagers.

That's a tasty beer, but it's not available outside WA, nor in bottles, correct?

Mexican beers seem to be either slightly lower gravity Octoberfest styles (Vienna?) or piss. Dox X's is decent stuff. Corona is piss with a lime.

I've had the 60 minute IPA. Very good. I need to have the 60, 90 and 120 all at the same time for a proper taste comparison.

Don't we have this thread about once a month?
