Default Stars $10/$20 - 99.

Is this standard? Would it have been better to bet turn again and then check behind on river? Thanks.

This is a place where I suspect I might be spewing because I almost always fire again at the turn. Readless I think it might be fine since there is a flushdraw possible. If the opponent is tricky I would considerchecking the turn and catch a bluff on the river, but when the Q falls I might fold anyway. Against a predictable player I bet the turn as the last money I put into the pot, not risking to get bluffed by a semi-bluffing fd.

I'd bet the turn. Draw heavy board, HU with position. If you are behind you don't have many outs at all so getting c/red wouldnt suck. Only thing that would really concern me is getting c/r bluffed....but even that wont happen often and he will likely have outs anyway.

I play it the same unless the opponent is very loose in which case I'd fire again on the turn. In general though against an unknown, I'm folding the river even without the Q falling.

IMHO-

By having position HU and not betting the Turn you pretty much guaranteed your opponent would bet into you if a spade didn’t come on the River. He has to be thinking you bet the flop to get a free card. If you had an A (or even a J) you never would have given a free card on a 2-flush board.

Bet the Turn and he probably would have given it up. If he called and then bet the River, then you may have to think as you are probably beat.

I'd bet the turn. UTG passed up an opportunity to protect his hand on the flop with a raise so he's a bit more likely to have a draw here that likely has a ton of outs against you, but will often fold incorrectly due to the range of hands you can represent with a turn bet.

Yeah, I've changed my mind because I forgot the flop was 3-way, not HU. Bet the turn.

How does that change your reasoning?

Dave just explained it. Our opponent isn't likely to have a made hand since he didn't protect it on the flop. He's likely on a draw and since he might believe we've hit the A, he might fold a hand such as KQ/KT incorrectly when we bet the turn, not knowing all his pair outs are good. Even if he calls we have charged his draw.
