Re: did i play this correctly?
This is the kind of hands that I'm so uncertain about.
I usually play em much the same Flop is fine you need to bet here lot of folding equity. I don't know about turn though maybe I check it through and call when he probably bet the river. River is fine |

Re: did i play this correctly?
Need reads. Dependent on the player, I sometimes check the turn and call a river bet (or even fold the river). What kinds of hands is BB defending with here? If he's loose I play it the same way, but against a tight player I think it's better to check the turn and call/fold the river UI.

Re: did i play this correctly?
well, with a big flop such as this with two over cards, after BB checked you made the right play. However, once he called you've got to realize that maybe he has a piece of the flop; Especially since he called your raise. Because he called your bet on the flop, it would've been a good idea to check on the turn and see if you're at in the hand, where you think you are.
On the river you made the right move to try and show him down. Hope this helps! |

Re: did i play this correctly?
he has shown no aggression and is likely on a Q, scared of an Ace. By betting the turn we might just take it down there, but if we don't he's unlikely to bet into you on the river, so the cost to showdown from the turn = 1BB
checking the turn and calling the river costs the same, but we lost the chance to take it down there. |

Re: did i play this correctly?
i'd play it the same. if he does have a Q, he might have waited 'til the turn to see if he improves. and now he has 2 overcards to deal with (if he does have the Q), so i think you have what people term "fold equity". it might not and obviously didn't work, but i'd probably still give it a shot. he probably has either a Q or an oddly paired A that hates his kicker.
