Default 5 handed preflop decisions

At a normal 5max table its not uncommon to see someone raise with Ax suited, to even J10 off suit. With this in mind when someone faces a raise preflop do the rules still apply as suggested by these great authors. Who cold calls with KJoff? Who raises? and who Folds? I find it hard to face a raiser with a mediocore full table hand but a fairly strong shorthanded hand. All opinions welcome. cheers

There's a forum called Heads Up and Shorthanded, which is almost exclusively 6-max LHE.
