Mistakes

While we are discussing mistakes, I will post the following hand.

Party Table. Tightened up lately and lots of blind stealing.
Opponent is a standard party opponent. A little too loose and passive.

Folded to the Button who open raises. I 3 bet from the SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Button calls

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, he calls

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, he calls

River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check, he bets, I fold ????????


I never even noticed I had hit trips. I was concentrating on the A so hard I missed it. I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't reviewed my hands afterwards.

Anyway, lesson learned

This is insane. Fwiw, I don't defend my SB much with a hand as weak as A5o. Save your SB aggression for hands that have more value. Lastly, it's really bad (in more ways than one) that you didn't include the pot size in your post.

I normally include pot size. It didn't have any bearing in this post so I left it out.
