Yearly Plan For Moving Up to Mid-High-Stakes NL (low content)
Plan to move up to Mid,-High-Stakes NL from SSNL
Hello, I want to improve my game to the point where I’m thinking like you guys think. In the past year I achived the goal of reading 40 poker books and becoming a winning low stakes poker player. Now I want to move up to winning 5/10 NL. Here is my plan for study for this year. 1. Read the current Mid-,High-Stakes Pot-Limit & No-Limit forum daily. 2. Read the recent and classic MHPL&NL posts by the wisest ten posters. 3. Read 30 new poker books and reread the core books, HOH, PL&NL Poker, TOP, Ace on the River, HEPFAP, SSH. 4. Stop robot 8 tabling the Party NL25 and play single table on-line NL200 to NL600 every day. I want to focus on getting inside my opponents heads and understanding what they are thinking. 5. Eventually move up to NL1000 by the end of this year and add another table. 6. Start playing live. 7. Reduce Blunders while playing. I make a huge number of hideous errors when I play. When I review a play session I can see that I play horribly and am still making huge blunders. I can see them when I reflect after I’m away from the “heat of battle”. I’d say I make on average 2 errors per 10 hands I play post flop and one huge blunder every 20 postflop hands. And these are just the errors that I can see. I wonder what a top player would pick out when he saw my hands, maybe he’d find 1 errors per hand. Amazingly I still seem to win on the NL200 to NL600 since my opponents play even worse (or I’m just lucky) What do you think of this plan? derick |
