Pot Odds
The way i do them is...
Amount to call (x)/Total pot (x+y) Am i doing this right? I also had a question about how to do implied odds? I am not sure how. |

Re: Pot Odds
you might get better help here.
Also, I'm sure a search of the different forums would get you what you need. (not trying to be an ass, just trying to help you get what you need) But to answer your question, don't count the bet you are about to put in as part of the pot. It's the total pot by the bet you have to call. |

Re: Pot Odds
Actually pot odds are:
Current pot/amount of bet t1000 pot & t500 to call = 2:1 pot odds. Implied odds are tougher to figure out. You're trying to figure out how many chips you can get from your opponent on 4th and or 5th street. If you flop a powerful draw that is well-disguised, you have a good chance to take a lot of chips off your opponent. Therefore you'd be willing to call/bet more chips than if you were strictly considering pot odds. Guess at how many chips you can get and how many you would have to risk to get them and there are your implied odds. |
