good god i just witnessed the most horrendous poker in recorded histor

so yesterday a friend tells me bravo is airing "CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN." i tune in, figuring it will be worth a laugh, but good god that was shameful. it was truly some of the ugliest play i have ever seen. i was almost ashamed to play poker after watching it. there were some brilliant raises: 57s UTG raise! some brilliant calls: calls all in with 33 vs a scary board. and, of course, some terrificly lucky rivers. the overall game strategy was essentially chase with 1 overcard (or otherwise absurd draw) and pray to river it. naturally, they rivered it much to the shegrin of their opponent. this masterful play was interupted by brief player biographies, as they praised their own poker abilities. of course since they make millions per movie they dont care at all about their 10,000 dollar buy in.

i need to dress up like a celebrity and try to get in this game.

Agreed. I guess we have our expectations too high after WPT and WSOP, but this show was just awful. Unless they change the format to Celebrity Supermodel Poker I can't see myself watching another five minutes of it.
