Let's be clear.

You are a cheater. You thought you could be cute and beat the system. You got stopped in your tracks. Now you're crying about it.

Why are you crying here?

Why don't you go email Paty's support about their unfair practices?

Just like you think that collusion is ok if you do it with your friends, party thinks it's ok to kick you off of their site if you use forbiden words. They just added a new one to the list.

Winholdem

You should be happy. You got all the attention you deserve. Enjoy it.

I'll bet that this is only the beginning too. Do you think they aren't reverse engineering your code? You think you're the only person who knows how to program? A company like party has some pretty competent programmers working for them. Unless you are the director of CERT, I think you don't have a chance.

If you are the director of CERT, God help the internet.

Default Re: Cheating - The bottom line

This is not true. If I know that you always pick your nose when you have AA, I don't have to tell anyone, even though you might as well have shown me your cards.

In addition, if you do something stupid like wear mirrored sunglasses, and I can see your cards in them, I am still under no obligation to inform you or anyone else at the table.

Poker is a game of mistakes and if you make too many of them, you will lose. My picking up on your mistakes is not the same as someone intentionally breaking the rules.

The problem is that someone forgot that they clicked 'Yes' to Partypokers license agreement.

PartyPoker doesn't prevent you from connecting to other websites, even ones about pokerbots.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe they will do some research and add other sites to the "WinHoldEm list".

[ QUOTE ]
They prevent you from playing on THEIR site if you have a window open (or minimized) with the word WinHoldEm in the title bar.

[/ QUOTE ]

Correct, and that is completely within their rights. If you don't like them doing that, don't play there. It is their business, they set the rules.

And all because they snooped through your computer and made the determination you visited a porn site, or a competitors poker site, or any other website they deemed unacceptable to them?

[/ QUOTE ]

How good do you think this would be for their business? Even with all of the complaints about software, servers, customer support, etc., they went from 4th place to 1st place, generally with more players than 2-4 combined. They know how to build a business (it remains to be seen whether they can sustain it). They aren't likely to make a move that would destroy them, and arbitrarily closing accounts for the reasons you state would.

WinHoldem is a program designed to aid colluders. Collusion is one of the biggest concerns of most online players. It is abundantly clear they are trying to crack down on WinHoldem, and that is a good thing.

I haven't tried any of your experiments because I'm really not worried about it. I want them to make it impossible to use WinHoldem and any other collusion tool.

So if I want to get a bunch of my opponents banned, I rename every webpage on my big poker site to have the title "WinHoldEm" and if they're visiting while playing they get flagged.

How fair is that?

You know if they're doing this then they are tracking when/where you surf, especially to the competitors poker sites. Are you ok with them tracking every website you visit?

Default You people are all very very dumb

I proclaim it so it much be true.

First off, i haven't installed WinHoldEm or tried to use this crap, but its obvious from reading what is posted here that beating this "fix" is pretty damn easy. Second, if you don't like what the party application does on your computer, you are well within your rights not to use it. That simple. You agreed to the their EULA, you voluntarily play on their site, if you don't like their policies, go elsewhere.
