Re: JJ in late position
Don't put the third raise in with Jacks, barring that... fold to their re-re-re-raises.

Re: JJ in late position
ok i think i get what you're saying, so you call pre-flop, the innitial raiser calls, so 3 to the flop...
flop comes 379 if utg bets and mp calls than raise this one +2/3 the pot if utg checks and mp bets then raise this one +2/3 the pot if utg bets and mp raises than it depends on reads, if mp would do this with just overcards then raise, if mp would do this with only an overpair then fold i'm assuming all the raises are standard sized for the table, if either villain pushes that flop then you can toss it, they might have 6 8 or 8 10 occasionaly but usualy you're up against an overpair that is protecting. |

The 3rd, let me know I was way behind, either AA, AKs (not behind) or KK [/ QUOTE ] you should have known that without wasting the money. EDIT: and if you called the reraise, then the initial raiser would still reraise and you'd still have to fold. so just fold the first time...you don't have to play every decent hand that you get dealt if the action is bad. |

Re: JJ in late position
So swolfe wouldn't, but I would flat call the first reraise and play for set value. I'll risk having to fold to a 3-bet; if I flop a set against these two guys I'm going to make a lot of money.
Easy fold to the all-in. |

Re: JJ in late position
Even in a weak loose game, you dont want to commit a big chunk of your stack preflop with JJ, unless you have a good read on the villain. Especially if there are 2 villains in the hand, and you're probably a longshot to take down the pot.
I'd argue for a coldcall of the raise, because a set should pay you very well, and you can get away from a high flop without a jack easily too. Most of the times i've seen this situation, the initial raiser will not re-reraise. The only hands that could do that are high pairs and maybe AK, which the first raiser wont have the majority of the time, especially if he minraised, which it looks like he did. Besides, if he pushes back after you call, you've only lost 4 big blinds, no big deal given the huge pot you stand to win if a set hits. |
