2/4: Flopped set, board gets nasty.
I'm really new to limit, so be gentle!
I just sat down so no info on this guy. Lost hand history somehow, but I remember the hand. 6 handed. Folded to me on CO, I raise with 77, SB calls BB 3-bets I call SB calls. Flop K75 rainbow, SB checks BB bets I raise SB folds BB calls. Turn K, BB bets I raise BB 3-bets I cap BB calls. River 5, BB bets I cry like a little girl and call. Sorry if this is standard, or there's some huge mistake or whatever. I need to learn. Thanks for any feedback. |

Looks like you got sucked on. But yeah, that's how I'd play it. You could consider only calling the flop and raising the turn.

No way...waiting looks too suspicious. By raising the flop you could have a wide range of hand...A7, Q7, a weaker K. Pay off the river...

Re: 2/4: Flopped set, board gets nasty.
I play it the exact same.
Calling the flop and waiting to raise on the river is ok with a rainbow flop (but obviously not ideal if you know the turn will bring your boat and someone else's trips). Folding the river would be bad in this big pot (and any non-five, non-king I cap). |

Re: 2/4: Flopped set, board gets nasty.
I don't understand why everyone here advocates calling the river. On the turn he would have slowed down with AA if he's not blind so I can't think of any hand that we are ahead of. Yes, the pot is big, but I think you have 1:100 odds to win this pot.

i think the river is a crying call. You should call only to berate BB for sucking you out runner runner.

Re: 2/4: Flopped set, board gets nasty.
As you can probably guess, BB turned over KJo.
This was not intended as a bad beat post. I had doubts about this hand, mainly the river call. |

I'd call the river for one more.
