Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
Tks. Wish I didn't have to push with such a weak hand(A2o), but the blinds were so big I had to try a steal on the button. A spade on the river would have been nice.

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
Not to hijack this thread or anything, but I'm interested in getting into the MTT segment, how do you guys normally enter these? Buy in? $27 SNGS? $13 2 table SNGs? the FFP tourney? $11 rebuy, what do you find is the best way to enter these 215 and 500 Sunday tourneys...I tried an SNG with no luck and then an $11 rebuy with no luck.
Just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on the easiest ways to get into these bigger tourneys. Thanks. |

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
I like the $11 re-buy turbo satellite because it's fast. Last week I qualified on one of these and then just on a lark last night tried the 500FPP satellite and qualified again so I have $215 Tourney dollars in the bank. But I doubt if I'll do the 500 FPP Satellite anymore becuase it took forever, like 4 or 5 hours, way too long.

Do you feel you have a better chance of getting a seat in the turbo sat. then at a 1 or 2 table SNG?

I think the general consensus is the MTT sats are easier because you can limp in (more than one winner)

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
I would have to say the Turbo Satellite. I usually play $20 and $30 sngs so winning the $20 wouldn't even do it.
I like the Turbos because they are fast and they give out 20 to 30 seats depending on how many entries and rebuys. Of course there is an art to these Turbos but after you play a few you'll figure it out. |

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
You just have to be careful to not let yourself get too short stacked when you start getting close to the bubble. When you go all in you want to have enough chips to have folding equity.
Then you got to be able to figure out when you have enough chips that you can just fold into the money. |

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
Anybody watching the deal discussion. It's the stupidest thing ever. One wants to split it 50-50 approx 75k each and the other wants to play out 80k for 1st 70 for 2nd. They can't agree. The difference between both proposals are 5k, but i guess they're going to play it out. Someone will be disappointed with 56k when they could have had 70 or 75.

Re: PokerStars Sunday $250K guaranteed
The dumbest deal discussion I saw was the shortest stack kept saying he deserved more money cause his chips were worth more.
