Playing Low Suited Connectors and Gappers
The hands im describing are 98s, or 65s.. and J9s, T8s,97s or 75s...
Can these hands be limped in any position on a 6 max table? |

Re: Playing Low Suited Connectors and Gappers
When playing 6max, suited connectors and one-gappers go WAY down in value, and big-card hands like A8o and KTo go way up in value.
In my opinion you're probably best off playing none of these hands at six max except in the rare occassion you can limp in behind a few limpers on the button or are getting good odds on a call out of the blind. The key point is that these hands need multiple opponents to be profitable, since they don't have showdown value. They also prefer passive play on the flop, so you can draw cheaply, which you won't get in 6max. These hands are really best suited to limping in in loose-passive full ring games with position. |

These types of hand suck in limit because your implied odds are much more limited pre-flop, whereas in no limit they increase in value because they can rake huge pots but they're very easy to get away from when you hit a marginal hand (like a pair). |
