Default low limit hold \'em in vegas

I will be traveling to Las Vegas in October with my daughter who has never played in a casino. Can you give me suggestions where she could get into a low limit game 1/2 and/or some cheap NL tournaments. I like to play at the Mirage or Bellagio but am looking for some smaller stakes action for her. thanks for the help.

If you do a simple search, or browse some of the threads, there are a lot of responses to this.

Anyway, a few that I know of, include the Excaliber, which I think the Vegas regulars have mentioned give hold em lessons then spread a 1/2 game. Luxor, Flamingo, Monte Carlo, Circus Circus are others that spread some low limit stuff, 2/4 at the very least if I remember correctly.

Not as sure about NL stuff.

As the earlier poster said, do a search and I think you'll find a lot of info that will be helpful. I just returned from a few days at Excalibur, and I can attest that the games there are probably as "newbie-friendly" as any in Vegas. The 1-3 spread is considerably cheaper than any 2-4, and of course Excal has free lessons at 2PM daily. For the more adventuresome, their NL$100 games are great. An added benefit is the nearby location of mandalay bay and Luxor, both of which spread cheap daily tournies.

I Echo the other Excaliber responses. I was there in early spring and had a great time there playing the 1-3 game. The nicest part was a single $1 blind so if you are patient and wait for decent starting hands you can do well there and not be worried about the blinds. The room was very 'Newbie" friendly as well.
The only time I didn't like Excaliber was one night at a table that was completely wild and out of control. Good thing is there are plenty of other things to do in Vegas while you give it a break and come back later to a more "normal" table.
There are also several other nice low-limit rooms nearby at the Monte Carlo, Luxor and Madalay Bay.
Have Fun!
