Default Turn B or not Turn B: 2 hands

These are two hands from Winky's post of 12 that we were discussing the turn play on. I'm stoping the action at the turn on both. I gave different recomendations on each. Please give you opinion without reading my analysis.

I will make a different post with my thoughts.

Default My thoughts

Hand 1 vs Hand 2
3-way vs. HU
Overs + NFD vs. just overs
big pot vs. small pot

You should play more aggressively in big pots. If you bet, you get to charge either or both to draw. You could get a fold from a hand like A5 buying you some outs. If button folds you might have the chance to showdown for one bet by checking river. If you get c/r on turn you have great odds to call and you might be able to raise him on the river if you hit.

Giving free cards in small pots isn't that bad. He will c/r you on that turn HU a good amount of time with quite a few hands including some that are worse than yours. More low cards on flop and since it's HU vs. a blind it can be a play quite often here. If he's making a play, he either folds turn getting you nothing, or bluff c/r's making you fold the best hand. You will not be able to call the c/r though since it could also be a made hand that you have at best 6 outs against. Don't put yourself in a situation where you cannot make a good decision. When you check behind on the turn, he leads the river and you call, you get 1 bet from a bluff, and lose 1 bet to a better hand. Plus you get a card to spike an A or a K with.

::Grunch::

I think Hand 1 I bet. But it's going to be real tough to let go of if it comes back reraised to me. Someone could have had a set on the flop, and if that's the case they just filled up or got quads. Button calling along makes me think he's on a flush draw or he's a donk. Tough one.
... Looking at it again I think SB may have had top pair or a draw on the flop. I bet he's going to checkraise the turn with his set of 8's.

Hand 2 I check behind. I don't mind taking a free card here, the flop is small, it's kind of drawy so if the other guy is on a draw he's probably not going to fold for 1 bet anyways. Take the free card.
