You think I care what you think about me? You're definitely nobody important to me. For what it's worth I think you're an idiot as well. I call it how I see it. If these calls weren't benefiting your crappy team you might be able to appreciate them. Maybe if the tables turn you will gain a new perspective.

So you honestly think that there is a grand plot by Major League Baseball to cheat the Astros? Is that "calling it how you see it?" I can certainly understand being upset. Really, I can. But please don't go on with the MLB "plot." It's really beneath a good fan, which I think you might be. The Astros can't let a call become the excuse on which they blame everything. A call doesn't make Qualls and Lidge throw two fatties over the plate. Great teams overcome, and don't give excuses.

Funny, this is pretty much exactly what every Astros fan has been doing on this board since Game 1.

Yes, it sure seems the tables turning and benefitting a team other than *your* crappy team definitely has given *you* a new perspective.

Im as big an astros fan as anyone, and we got damn outplayed. Yes, they screwed up the call, and I will say as objectively as possible that that was the worst screwup this playoff year, as the batter didnt even sell that he got hit... argh, that's not my point.

We got outplayed. If you don't think so, you're ignorant. Why is it that alot of the astros fans cant remember the arguments they were using about the "phantom tag" last year?

These are great games, I hope it goes to seven just because every game is a battle, and amazing to watch.

Get over it. Let's not taint this amazing year by being whiny. Lets just get behind Roy O. as he makes each and every one of these ChiSox look like minor leaguers.

Clearly false. It's at best #3. Compare the EV's of the following scenarios:

#1. 2nd and 3rd with 2 out and a full count on Jermaine Dye vs bases loaded and 2 out with Konerko up.

#2. 1st and 3rd, 1 out vs bases loaded, 0 out. (A baseball prospectus article defined this as a 1.2 run difference in EV)

#3. 1 on, 2 out, 3-2 count on John Rodriguez or 1st and 2nd, 2 out, Albert Pujols up.

#4. End of the 9th inning tied vs man on 1st and two out.

I did say as objectively as I can. That's not very objective, I suppose, in the grand scheme of things.

I AM an astros fan after all

1. 0.15 runs
2. 1.2 runs
3. 0.21 runs
4. 0.23 runs

Because Albert Pujols is Albert Pujols number 3 should be much higher, and probably ranks second on the list.
