When full ring 15-30 gets short
I know party only has 3 tables of 6-max 15-30 going, but there are often a lot of full-ring 15-30's with 3-5 players seated. I'm wondering if anyone plays these specifically, I've been testing them a bit (not much data yet) on the assumption that they are enriched for 2 types of players:
1) people who are stuck a lot, and don't want to leave and "register" the loss. 2) action junkies who don't mind playing short and very low in players who actually play short handed on a regular basis. The obvious problem with these tables is that they either fill up or collapse inside 50 hands, so might be a pain to 3-4 table them. Do any of you play these on a regular basis? |

My advice: stay away from these tables . . .
My experience has shown that the very best short-handed players frequent these tables, trolling for sub-par competition.
I have done nothing but lose on these tables, and would highly advise that you stay away from these types of situations. The players are simply too tough, the action is too fast. You could lose a very significant amount of money in a short period of time. TSP |

Re: When full ring 15-30 gets short
I play them pretty regularly. My experience is that you'll find greater extremes of skill than at any other type of game on party. There are some players who are ten times better than me, and others who play like they belong at .5/1. This obviously makes table selection extremely important, and the more you play the easier you can pick out the real good players from the fish.
