Default Help me play this better and explain why to me please.

Villain in CO this hand was an unknown with only 7 hands played before this one. Button's preflop cold call of Villain's preflop raise made me very reluctant to bet out on the flop. Then, when button folded to Villain's 1/2 pot sized bet didn't know what to do. Of course, I made the worst decision of the three.

Texas Hold'em $0.25-$0.25 NL (real money), hand #1,433,747,686

Seat 1: xphaktor ($27.05 in chips)
Seat 2: bank33 ($30.85 in chips)
Seat 3: Syster Yster ($37.90 in chips)
Seat 4: poisonivey24 ($22.05 in chips)
Seat 5: RAM-WAR ($24.35 in chips)
Seat 6: Hero J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($23.75 in chips)
Seat 7: Falukropp ($35.70 in chips)
Seat 8: spinnfinnen ($21.50 in chips)
Seat 9: semridge07 ($13.85 in chips)
Seat 10: jools84 ($13.85 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
jools84 posts blind ($0.15), xphaktor posts blind ($0.25), spinnfinnen posts blind ($0.25).

FLOP ($8.85) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero checks, spinnfinnen bets $4.50, semridge07 folds, Hero calls $4.50.

Either check raise the flop all in or fold. Fold is probably closer to the right decision.

I'm drunk but I find it weird that your still at 25nl, I think you should bet-fold on the flop here.

Can anyone explain why the flop is a fold and not a raise?

Is "your still at 25NL" a compliment? Because I'm taking it as one.

he reraised preflop. more than likely, the only thing that you are beating with that reraise is a missed AK. also, that turn card was semi-scary, and he also may be putting you on a flush draw and trying to get you out with his made hand

Villian is representing a big pair right now and there's no reason to not give him credit for something better than our hero's jacks. A check-raise is an option on the flop, but bet-fold is easily the best choice.
