Re: What is the most $$$$ you lost in a session?
For me it all boils down to how much do I make hourly.
But Im very happy that Ive only had one losing week so far this year and I believe its 4 in the last calender year. |

[ QUOTE ] Is anyone else as obsessed with having a high win rate as I am? [/ QUOTE ] yep, i hate importing a losing session [/ QUOTE ] when i am just starting out in a game, I get annoyed seeing my winrate drop after a bad session. thats why I like finally having a good amount (70k) hands in the 1000NL, so if I have a bad session, I dont even worry about the drop in winrate. oh, and my biggest loss was $7k in a session, which included -$4k in the first 35mins. ugh. |

Re: What is the most $$$$ you lost in a session?
[ QUOTE ]
Really bad night for me lost 4 buy is (-1600) Key hands: I have Ad Qs in heads up battle. Flop is Qd Td 4d I check and other guy bets pot, I min raise other guy moves in and I call. He has QT and I get no help. I have 77 in CO and jack it up 4X BB to steal the blinds. SB flods and BB calls. Flop is 654 rainbow, BB bets pot I raise to double size of pot and BB moves in and I call BB has 46o and I get no help. In three way battle I have 88 and flop is 58J all clubs. I'm in middle position and make pot sized bet one caller. Turn is another dreaded club and goes check, check and of course I call a rather large bet onn river to see that scumball has the ace of clubs. Then I continued to just kind of stupidly piss it all away . When I lost a small hand to a player that I had already lost two of those key pots, I lost my temper and punch my monitor breaking it. Needless to say end of game for me. In addition to losing 1600 I have to buy a friggen CPi Latitude monitor. I found one on Ebay for $15 but I have to wait a week for the auction to end. [/ QUOTE ] FYP. You played those hands really badly. Judging by them alone, you are going to have many more broken monitors if you hate losing that much. I suggest you move down to where the money doesn't matter so much, study and improve your game, and get to the point where beats are just part of the game. It's a lot easier to get there at limits where losing won't drive you crazy. Also, that monitor will be a lot more tha $15 by the time the auction ends. |

Re: What is the most $$$$ you lost in a session?
I looked at some of your other posts and noted two things:
1. Several people advised you to move down from 2-4 and you did. Now you seem to be back at 2-4. Why? 2. You've repeatedly demonstrated that you don't play very well, and fundamentally don't understand some fairly basic poker and NL concepts. There's nothing wrong with that, noone understands them to start with and it's a tricky game to learn. I'm sure you're bright enough to get there with some study and experience; almost noone can do it without those. But you should realise that at your current skill level, you're likely to be a long term loser. As such, you should probably play at a level where losing is not a financial problem (that maybe the case at your current limits) and isn;t going to greatly irritate you (clearly is a problem at your current limits). Sorry if that comes off as harsh, it's meant to be helpful. |
