Quick question: Complete in the SB with a junk hand.
Hello,
My question is: How many people need to have limped in front off you to make it correct to complete in the SB with a junk hand? Some assumptions: It can be a 6max or fullring NL. Doesn't matter really. It's a mid limit(NL) online level. People are fairly loose and tend to be rather passive calling stations. You think you are one off the best players. The BB is fairly tight and will only raise with a premium hand so you don't have to worry about a raise unless he finds a real hand. Is it never correct to complete with a hand like 36o or 94s and so on? 2 limpers? 4 limpers? Any math guys out there? |

Re: Quick question: Complete in the SB with a junk hand.
I think this is more a function of stack size then limpers. 2 limpers, everyone has 150xBB and they are all loose passive and payoff, I can outplay most people etc... I complete a lot more.

Re: Quick question: Complete in the SB with a junk hand.
I think this is more a function of the game texture and opponents' skill level then of 'number of limpers,' although that can be a factor.
If there are 3 solid limpers, I am more inclined to fold. If there is 1 very horrilbe postflop limper, I would be more inclined to limp. Also, I will limp with 63o (outside str8 draw poss) 94s (flopped flush) and virtually never with 94o or 62o or K2o. EDIT: I was assuming deep stacks, but forgot to mention it. Nice call AZK. |
