PP $22 - Flop TPnoK with 2nd Nut Flush Draw from the BB
How's my line? I am getting conflicting opinions, which I find interesting. Maybe $22 and "interesting" are oxymoronic.
My thoughts - - Good flop for me, but not great. - My deuce is useless playing the pair. - Pot is 15% of my stack already, so happy to take the "gift horse" right now. So, I want to bet large enough to get some folds. - Need to bet large enough to define my hand, but small enough to get away from it if raised. - Bet a big enough amount such that any raise means I'm likely behind - I will fold if raised - If called, I will check/fold any non-spade, non-King turn (unless villain gives odds) (Irie hates this post, cuz it's all about MY hand) ***** Hand History for Game 2859601665 ***** 30/60 Tourney Texas Hold'em Game Table (NL) (Tournament 16501664) - Tue Oct 11 02:24:17 EDT 2005 Table Table 67352 (Real Money) -- Seat 2 is the button Total number of players : 9 Seat 1: clubcliq2 (835) Seat 2: fredexley (730) Seat 3: gypsycowboy (813) Seat 4: playtitleist (760) Seat 5: ridegooses (1010) Seat 6: PP_Railbird (770) Seat 8: Hownow (785) Seat 9: aaahhchew (1342) Seat 10: SNT51 (955) gypsycowboy posts small blind (15) playtitleist posts big blind (30) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to playtitleist [ 2s, Ks ] ridegooses calls (30) PP_Railbird folds. Completely standard, in my book. This isn't the final table of the WSOP. You made a value bet on the flop in the 22s. Why would you do anything else here?
Maybe I'd bet 80 or 90 instead, who knows, but that's about the only argument I see. |

I like your line. However, there is no clear fold if raised. You need to make your decision based on pot odds vs your outs. I see 14 outs, 2.36:1 so if pot is offering better than that... call, worse then you fold, but don't lose your game to this hand. Hopefully no one has Ax spades...

This is still a strong hand, given this flop. How much do y'all like to lead out for on a flop like this? Half-pot seems about right, I suppose. |
