Hotels near the Rio All suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas
Sorry if this has been posted already.
Does anyone know of any inexpensive hotels near the Rio All suite Hotel and Casino? I believe it is located about a mile away from the strip. I plan on visiting June 2nd and leaving June 6th. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The Gold Coast is about the cheapest you'll get though.
All I need is a clean bed and a clean shower/bathroom. I do not need any ammenities.

[/ QUOTE ] The Gold Coast is your best bet, the only other close hotel is the Palms and that is definitely not cheap. The Rio is not a mile from the strip but you definitely don't want to walk to the strip. I stayed at the Rio once and loved the hotel but hated that I could not really walk anywhere.

The players who do not want to risk the 10k can play in those events. I would sooner play in a 1k no limit event then a 10k no limit event.

Mike,
There is a shuttle between Harrahs and the Rio--also a shuttle between the Gold Coast and the Barbary Coast. Barbary Coast and Harrah's are both on the strip in a central location. You can probably pick any central strip hotel close to the two above and obtain reasonable transportation to the Rio. The only problem may be returning in the AM hours as the shuttle hours may not go throughout the morning in which case a cab is in order. I believe the Imperial Palace or the Barbary Coast may have reasonable rates in the central strip location. Regards, carlo
