Re: Try to get me to stay in school....
Im going to school to be a mechanic and it takes work. Of course its easy to work at quick oil change place but Mechanics arent the scum college drop outs of the world. Id say thats for Fast Food workers. I wouldnt mind playing poker for a living but I think dropping out of College to do so especially when your on a free ride is the worst Idea Ive ever heard.

Re: Try to get me to stay in school....
Raptor - I'm as old as the Skipper, and I freely admit that you are probably 10x smarter about poker than me.....
But NEVER suggest to ANYONE who might write it down that you are depressed as a way of getting around doing something. For the rest of your life when you fill out a life insurance form, health insurance application, or about 50 other things, you'll be asked something along the lines of "have you been treated for or diagnosed with depression?" If you say no, and they find out, you're screwed. If you say yes, you're screwed. And don't think that your "private" health records are all that private.....as an MD, I know better. Best of luck in college....sounds like you're having a great time MM MD |
