2) Microwave gun? Vaporize a city's water supply? A bit of a gay weapon if you ask me.

[/ QUOTE ]

How about the Microwave gun vaporizing water in steal pipes yet not vaporizing the water in everyones body around it? Everyone in the guns radius would shrivel up and die.

Hey atleast it wasnt penguins with bombs strapped to their backs right?

Well it is a movie based on a comic book so I don't see why you would expect any of it to be realistic.

They don't mean realistic, they just mean not jarringly stupid and still fitting in smoothly in the unrealistic world of the story.

Ok I see what you mean, but some of that stuff is what makes the movie fun.

Take the car chase/escape part you guys mentioned. If you want to see a kick ass car chase then you have to have people chasing someone. It's obvious that the writers can't let the police catch Batman so what do you want them to do? They could either get rid of the whole scene or do what they did and have him escape in some ridiculous fashion.

Do you really think with 1/10th of a billion dollar budget it's too much to ask for the screenwriters figure out a somewhat plausible (not even probable) method for the batmobile to escape?

And yes, blarg, jarringly stupid is the right word.
