Default Any secrets to fixing a scratched CD?

Are there any secrets to fix a slightly scratch CD? (Barely won't work)

They used to say a non-gel toothpaste would do it. Rub in a circular motion. Your mileage may vary.

I heard toothpaste is suppose to work but they say try it on a cd u dont want to keep and make sure u wipe across the cd from center out.

Well, for future investment this thing is money... One DVD or PS2 game and it's paid for itself.

Use the toothpaste but wipe radially, not circularly.
