waiting on weather

Why wait? It's going to be about 20 degrees, wind chill will make it feel colder especially inside the Linc where the winds whip around due to its open nature. Some light snow in the area.

It's still early. The game is 5 days away. Weather predictions change. I might not like the over in 2 inches of snow. And the line might drop some more, opened at 42.

Sorry Waterproof - but you're reaching for something to analyze that isn't there...

Which teams did the Falcons play that are in the same class as the Eagles?

You're insulting Philly by comparing San Diego or Denver (or the Rams?) to them - I just don't see the quality teams they played that you're referring to... mediocre maybe...

Don't get me wrong, the Falcons might be the play - but not because of their stellar performance against mediocre opponents.

The Atlanta defense is very solid, thus the line is "only" 4 1/2.

Waterproof, which win on this list impresses you?

2004 Schedule
Date Opponent Time/Result
Sep 12 @San Francisco Won 21-19
Sep 19 St. Louis Won 34-17
Sep 26 Arizona Won 6-3
Oct 3 @Carolina Won 27-10
Oct 10 Detroit Lost 10-17
Oct 17 San Diego Won 21-20
Oct 24 @Kansas City Lost 10-56
Oct 31 @Denver Won 41-28
Week 9 BYE
Nov 14 Tampa Bay Won 24-14
Nov 21 @N.Y. Giants Won 14-10
Nov 28 New Orleans Won 24-21
Dec 5 @Tampa Bay Lost 0-27
Dec 12 Oakland Won 35-10
Dec 18 Carolina Won 34-31
Dec 26 @New Orleans Lost 13-26
Jan 2 @Seattle Lost 26-28
Jan 15 St. Louis Won 47-17
Jan 23 @Philadelphia 3:00pm

I haven't found one yet. Maybe last week's game. Maybe.

I think the Eagles are going to romp (the definition of "romp" will depend on the weather but I think they cover the 4 1/2 easy)

None. But the wins over the Charges, Denver and the Rams are much more impressive than a win over Green Bay, who lost to every decent team they played this year, and the Ravens.

Minnesota, who I still believe is better than Green Bay, would have lost to the any of the three teams mentioned above.

Now I'm not saying that I'm playing the Falcons (although I'm starting to talk myself into it). Just it's not an easy game to handicap, and I can't see any reason to lay points on Philly... I could be wrong...
