Default Re: 2001FP and VGA input

I'm not sure if it's a DVI issue or not, but my 2405 FPW (DVI hook-up) is much clearer and has better colors than my 2001FP (VGA).

If there's a setting to fix this, I'd love to hear about it.

Also, the 2405 FPW is a monster. This talk of adding another 2001FP to the other side has me wet thinking of the possibilities.... mmmmm..... must buy new monitor...

Of course it does, DVI is digital, VGA is analog.

That's why I want both of mine hooked up to DVI at once

But I mean the colors are off even... one seems a big more blue-ish than the other. I tried setting the RGB amounts to the same, but they don't look the same, even that way. In fact, they look farther off than they do now.

FWIW, DVI is much clearer, not sure if I'll end up getting another Dual-DVI card so I can use 3 DVI monitors or not.

I've used the same setup, it does indeed make that much of a diff in color.

Anyone know if I can use 2 monitors by hooking one to my DVI jack and one to my S-Video? Anyone used a 2001FP with an S-Vid connection? Comments?

I've got a pair of 2001FP on a single video card. With the resolution at 1600x1200, there is very little difference, but you have to be careful on the analog side. You need to use a good quality, well-shielded cable, route it away from power lines, and adjust the monitor properly. The 1600x1200 is very information dense, and very vulnerable to interference -- and if you don't fine-tune the monitor, it can't pixel-up right. I suppose if your video card doesn't put out a strong analog signal, you could be in for trouble.

With it adjusted, I can't tell which is on the DVI and which is on the analog. There is quite clearly a color difference -- one is bluer in temperature -- but I couldn't tell you which is which.
