Default Tough bubble situation?

Hey guys,

I had this situation come up last night in a $50 sng. If I had a dollar for every time I lost one of these things with Ax or Ax suited at the end, III'd - well, I guess I'd still be out a lot of f'in money. Anyway, take a look at the situation - any feedback would be much appreciated. First a little background. Tiffany884, the villian in this case, was playing well - she wasn't particularly overaggressive. After you give me your take, I'll explain what I was thinking.

where are the results?

i would have thought that i was def losing after that raise from Tiffany, but you're too pot committed to fold, (hopefully) with 5 outs (assuming you're not sharing an ace). you'd be forced to call... thats one reason i don't like calling Ax suited in that position... even though i'm getting good odds, a big stack can make me too pot committed... and looking back, i'm not too happy that i play a solid tournament, yet end up getting busted holding Ax suited.

Hmm - dunno why the results didn't show. Here's a repost, with results... I agree with you, but what's the alternative play? It seemed to me that I couldn't be scared of the queen when I hit second pair. By the same token, if I was only going to bet half my stack, I supposed I should have been willing to fold. It didn't seem like there was an easy way to handle this situation.

I'd fold this preflop, you have 6bb, a healthy stack, plenty of FE first in, small stack to your right.. what's the rush? It's not as if she's doing this from the button or something, she's doing it from UTG+1, I respect it here and let her have the pot

Yea, I guess not getting involved to begin with is probably the best play, given my third place position, even though I have good odds to call. I just hated the idea of folding up a suited Ax hand to one more bet. It was sort of a catch 22, but erring on the conservative side probably would have been better. Oh well...

You need to remove that from your game, then. It's a leak.

By the way this isn't on the bubble, it's 5 handed.

True, I stand corrected - it isn't a bubble situation just yet. And you're right about the leak - thanks for your help, Tigerite.
