Default Heads Up, Pushing Every Hand Good Strategy or Not?

Actually, I already know the answer to that I think, this is not a very good strategy. However I read in a thread. perhaps someone can point me to it, that if you constantly push every hand the best someone can do to you is beat you 52% of the time or something. That doesn't sound right, but my HU game is a little weak so anything that close to splitting sounds good to me.

It's not a bad strategy at all providing the blinds are high. It's not optimal, but it's much better than what most players do.

Why would you push every hand? That seems a little extreme IMO. I'd still fold hands like 32o and 83o.

But, assuming the the average of your two stack sizes is less than 10X the BB, pushing a wide range of hands is a reasonable strategy since any raise will pot commit you anyway.

if blinds are high, you most likely have the advantage over you opponent with this strategy. it isnt optimal, but most of your opponents heads up are horrible.

With roughly equal stacks, pushing every hand gives your opponent the option of playing for your whole stack whenever he wants.

Now, he may go quite a few hands before he finds one he's willing to call with. In that case, you'll be the big stack when decision time comes and can survive an all in.

I just don't like giving my opponent that option.

I prefer raising every playable hand and pushing against any raise when I have a good hand.

If blinds are, say, 250/500 and you have 3500 you can't wait a few hands. Every time you fold your SB you give your opponent 750 in stead of you. Big difference. The number of hands you push depends on the tightness of your opponent of course, but you can push almost anything vs most opponents when the blinds are very high.
