Somebody must have hit their draw ...
Long time listener, first time caller.
I have no idea how to deal with this river card. With two cold callers on the turn, someone must have been drawing to the flush, right? Nobody seemed to enthusiastic about the flop. Is this a really simple bet for value? No real reads, other than nobody was getting too out of line. Re: Somebody must have hit their draw ...
Looks like a simple value bet to me. Cold callers could mean anything -- overcards, an overpair, two pair, etc. Bet the river; only a nut flush will check-raise you. But I think even the nut flush would bet out once he hit for fear that a check would lead to checking behind. If you were first to act, I'd still bet, but be worried about a raise. If it's checked to me, I think it's a simple value bet. The times you're betting into a flush are less often than the amount you're putting into the pot. +EV. Bet.
Also, why didn't you bet the flop? |
