NEED HELP on planning my Prez. Day AC trip
Ok players....here is the scoop...I need some feedback/suggestions/help on planning my AC trip this weekend (Feb. 17-21)
Heres some info: I will be leaving MD/DC area around 8pm this thursday (17th)...think we will arrive AC around midnight or so... my bankroll: $1500 17th and 18th we will be staying at Days Inn in Abescon (sp?)....however on the 19th and 20th we will be staying at Atlantic Suites...great deal(s) here...for 4 nights total only $268 after taxes... I'm not sure if we will play thursday night/friday morning since we will be arriving so late. However, we play to play allll day on Friday, Sat, and Sunday. Where should we be on those days? Right now I am thinking all day Friday at the Tropicana since my friend and I will want to do the $150 NL tournament. Then on Sat. am - 4pm at Borgata. The reason to leave at 4pm or so is because I have to check in at the hotel at Atlantic Suites. I know after checking in, it is gonna be a bitch to try to get back in at Borgata so we will probably tackle either Taj or Tropicana that evening since we are staying on the boardwalk. What about Sunday?? Games that I will play: I am a limit Omaha 8 player...I've had great success playing online so want to see how I do at the casinos...I would like to find some good 3/6 - 5/10 tables. Yes I will play hold'em as well...up to the 6/12 limit. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Re: NEED HELP on planning my Prez. Day AC trip
Can't you give the hotel a credit card to hold the room for you? If you can't, you could use the dinner list. When you leave the Borgata, tell the person at the desk what game you were playing and that you want to get on the dinner list. If you make it back within 2 hours, you don't have to wait again. They put you 2nd on the list, IIRC.

Ok that sounds doable....so I just go up to the poker room desk and tell them to put me on the dinner list?

Yup, just tell them what limit you were playing and that you want to go on the dinner list. Then come tell them you were on the dinner list when you get back. I know at foxwoods this puts you 2nd on the list, I'm not 100% that the Borg is exactly the same, but you get somewhere near the top.

I believe that the Borgata will bump you directly to the top of the list (unless there are other dinner listers there, in which case you will go below them).

Re: NEED HELP on planning my Prez. Day AC trip
Little or no O/8 at the Borgata. With so little tables and so much interest in Hold Em highly doubtful on a busy weekend.
Taj is your best bet for a 5-10 game. I also heard there is a 10-20 Rotation game spread only on the weekends. Depends if they get the enough people to get it off. I think the Trop still spreads 4-8 O/8. |

Re: NEED HELP on planning my Prez. Day AC trip
I was up at Borgata about a month ago (same weekend as Scrub), and they had one 4/8 Omaha Hi/Lo game going on Friday night/Saturday morning. List to get in was 8 or 9 deep... I didn't see the game Saturday evening.
