Why not bet/fold? The dude isn't going to bluff, or even semi-bluff on this board - at least not often enough to be problematic. And it's easy to fold if a spade rivers and villain donks.

probably not many, maybe TJ or something, but the pot is small and he wont have that very often here

i was just wondering, i think if a spade hits we pretty much have to fold against an unknown, if were up against a peel any flop type guy then i think the descision gets closer(turn descision), but this is a scarier flop than most and i dont think most 10/20 guys are this type, so a check is probably right without a read, but i still think its close

Checking probably induces a bluff, which is a great way to get money into the pot when you're actually ahead. Raising if you make a straight seems OK, but you have to think of which losing hands will pay off two bets. It may be pretty close to a no raise, actually.

I agree if you know the opponent never or rarely would semibluff checkraise the turn with a flush draw or a flush and gutshot or a flush and OESD. But if you don't know the opponent can you count on that enough to confidently fold to a checkraise?

Villain w/K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]= turn semi-bluff 100% of the time.
Villain w/lesser [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]= turn semi-bluff a somewhat lesser % of the time.
Point is semi-bluff is very real possiblility.

A semibluff CR here is just not as likely as people are expecting. A semibluff donk bet perhaps, and that produces a whole nother line of thinking, but not a semibluff CR.

A read is really important on what the correct decision is here.

I think vs. an unknown, you have to bet and make it the last bet you but in w/o improvement.

I have no idea what an unknown 10/20 UTG limpers standards are, but I would think that you probably see a fold here a lot.
