Default Poker Lessons in NYC area Wanted

I've got some time in the middle of August and I'm thinking of treating myself to a couple of Poker lessons. I like the idea of face to face sessions rather than via email or the phone.

Can anyone refer me to someone good in the NYC or surrounding area who can help take my game up a notch. I'm a long term winner at 2/4 on Party and break-even to slightly loosing at 3/6. I'd like someone familiar with the 2+2 literature and someone who can break me of longstanding weak/tight tendencies.

Thanks for your help,
Ed

if you're open to advice: don't waste your money on poker lessons. chances are you are better than the guy giving the lessons, otherwise he wouldn't need the money for giving lessons 'cuz he'd be a pro. if he IS a pro, he is probably way too expensive in the first place.

stick to 2+2 for any and all questions. post your question in the Poker Theory section or Small Stakes Limit Hold 'Em section and ask to have it answered specifically by people with over 1000 posts (name names, don't just write "over 1000 posts")

and my 2 cents for breaking your weak/tight tendencies are to read the Super System 2 section on limit hold 'em by jen harman. then, move down to much smaller limits while you practice the concepts and get comfortable with them. then, make your way back up.

People don't just give lessons to make money. James282 was offering lessons a few months ago for like $50/hour which is nowhere near his hourly earn. Some people just get a kick out of teaching and talking about poker.

OK, I'm going to rephrase my request. Durring mid to late August, are there any established 2+2ers around who would be willing to have me come over, talk poker and watch me play a couple hunderd hands giving me some input.

I'm really a pretty cool guy...
