Check the turn, two reasons.

1) You vomit if you get raised, especially because your diamond might be good. You really dont want a big pot here.

2) You want AJ to think his hand is good.

I agree, and I did vomit. I should have checked the turn. Can I call a bet if I check the turn? I don't think so, and it was that line of thought that got me in trouble in the first place.

Maybe I should have just folded preflop. I wouldn't limp anything UTG with that short a stack that is losing to AQ. UTG was so bad, thought, that it just seemed weak to fold.

of course you CAN call a bet on the river if you check the turn. I would sometimes against players in that game for sure.

If the turn went check-check, I agree about the river.

I was asking, however, whether I could call a bet on the turn, not the river.
