Default A6s in SB NL100 6-Max: How was this?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

MP ($34.87)
Button ($156.70)
Hero ($99.55)
BB ($46)
UTG ($87.59)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $1, MP calls $1, 1 fold, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($4) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $5, MP folds, Hero folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: $9

Should I have bet out? What if I villain re-raised a good amount? What do you do here?

Other than flopping quads or a full house, what more aore are you looking for? You flopped the nut flush draw. Call or raise.

no

op played this well

however

there sometimes is a better way to play it

however

calling an overpot bet oop with a transparent draw

is not good

in no limit texas holdem.

raising an overpot bet oop with a marginal draw with stacks left

is not good, either

in no limit texas holdem

that said

if villain does this alot

c/r gains alot of credence

should you lead out here?

sometimes.

I think checking against this many opponents is good. But I probably call. An ace could easily be good. And you only need to get another $10 out of him to make your call +EV. You don't think you can get $10 out of him in a $15 pot? I'd bet surprised. Also, sometimes he checks the turn through giving you a free look at the river. Also, sometimes he is betting a lower flush draw and you both hit thereby destacking him. I say it's a definite call even out of position. You might even get a free showdown with the best hand.

I would usually lead out here, I really couldn't tell you why I didn't. But considering that I did make that mistake, I couldn't really justify calling 5$ out of position, is that weak play? Should I have tried to outplay him depending on the turn card?
