Dumb Question? But I\'m curious
I know this is highly unlikely, but after watching a repeat of the WSOP where Josh Arieh says " I need another card, I'm not that good" It got me wondering.
What if a guy in the BB is only dealt 1 card. For some odd reason he doesn't realize this, and there are say 2-3 limpers to the flop. He checks blind. Flop comes QQ3. BB looks down to see a Q and no other card. Since you only need to make 5 cards, can he play and use the best 2 other cards on the board, meaing he is playing 6 cards to make 5? |

Re: Dumb Question? But I\'m curious
If it isn't discovered until there is significant action, however, then they play the hand out. Obviously, there is significant action in this case.
You have to show down two cards to win a hold'em pot. Without this rule, if someone were cheating and had two Aces of spades, it would behoove him to get rid of one of them. The big blind's hand is dead in this case. |
