I have a fairly large portion of my family living in rural Minnesota, so I think his stuff is quite a kick. If you haven't lived in that area at all, it's easy not to get his jokes.

i can't stand how his voice smacks like he's eating.
this is very common on NPR and it drives me crazy.

Yeah, I've noticed that more with others on NPR more than GK. Those mikes must be covered with saliva after each broadcast. What's the deal with that - talk softly and jam the mic in your mouth?

My family listened to it when I was a kid for as far back as I can remember.

I remember it being funnier than it is now. The regular sketches he does currently don't do much for me, and I preferred it when TNFLW had a clearer narrative to it. I still listen most weeks, but that's more of a sad commentary on my radio addiction than an endorsement of the show.

This American Life has been the best thing on NPR for a while.

I don't think I expressed my hatred for Guy Noir strongly enough in my last post.

I hate Guy Noir.

The pace of the show is too slow for me. I prefer isolated GK bits.
