Folding top set on the river getting 20:1 odds
The player who raised the turn seems to be sane from the limited time I have played with him.
Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls, Hero raises, CO calls, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls. Re: Folding top set on the river getting 20:1 odds
looks like a good fold to me, especially considering the button cold-called 2 bets on the flop and then capped. He was trying to build a monster pot for a reason.
Is there a word for his action on the flop? maybee... "cold-capped"? |

damn that sucks.
I thought for sure this was going to be a terrible fold when I saw the subject, but no. |

Re: Folding top set on the river getting 20:1 odds
wow i guess if there was ever a time to fold top set getting 20:1 to call, this would be it.

Easy fold. If I had posted this it would have been the worst fold in history.

Re: Folding top set on the river getting 20:1 odds
cold capped...hehe ya, id say button flopped the flush.
but regardless, the fold is correct given the opposition is not entirely maniacal. |

Gwtting 20-1 that the opponent is a retard I call. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I can show hands against 2+2ers similiar in nature where it is totally correct to call. And this is in serious $15/30 games, not donking $4/8. Bottom line: Never fold the worst possible full house no matter how bad it looks after rmarrotti went 6 bets with you on the turn and you can beat non of his logical holdings. There is at least a 5% chance in almost any given hand that you are playing a retard. Folding big pots sucks. |

Re: Folding top set on the river getting 20:1 odds
What do people think of capping the flop? You might scare a non-nut flush into not betting or raising again, and you certainly don't want this going to 3 bets on the turn.
