Default My Main Squeeze: PS 180SnG A8o

This brought me some flack. Raiser is semi-tight and aggressive pre-flop, but weak post-flop. Coldcaller is a LAG. Comments?

I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the preflop reraise. You're building a fat pot out of position vs a likely monster hand. Uggggh. This is a terrible spot to take a shot at these guys. Fold.

I don't like it at all, regardless of end result.

stack sizes are wrong for a queeze play. You need to either be deeper or shallower.

Nice title though.

Thanks MLG, that's what I was looking for. How deep do you want the stacks to make this kind of play?

Well, first the shallow end. I want em so i can push, and my stack is about 5x the raise. As for the deep end, it has to be very deep. So deep that the reraise and then a possible continuation bet on the flop only amount to 1/4 my stack at most.

i think its close though. SBs stack is fine, and MPs is on the edge of being too big, but if he's a habitual stealer then it might be okay to squeeze here. however, in this hand, the raise you made is pretty bad IMO. i don't think a push would all that bad here though with these stacks if all other factors were just right.

If you were playing in the $100 rebuy with these stack sizes, would you agree with the raise size? What raise would you make if you had AA or KK in this spot? I agree with MLG that MP's stack is a bit high for a squeeze, but if SB calls he clearly is playing for all his chips, and a decent MP would be also if he calls this reraise for 40% of his stack. I think people might be seeing that he got called twice here and having that influence their results. It seems more likely that these two opponents were just not opponents you would ever want to squeeze against, then that he executed the squeeze incorrectly.
