Looking for a San Francisco Home Game
I'm looking to start or get into an SF home game and would like to hear from anyone who has one that has some room or would like to join one.
I'd be most interested in 4-8 to 6-12 limit games and 100$ buy-in tourneys -- a game where a bad night would be losing 5 hundy and a good night would be to take down a grand. I also have my own table and chips and all that jazz and can host a weekly game if i can get the players together. I'm looking for (or to form) a serious game, but with a lot of jokers. I'm 29 years old and would prefer a game with mostly similarly aged players, although that isnt altogether important. I live in North Beach and dont have a car so i would need a game in SF near me or in SF near a bart station. Please PM me if you have any info or suggestions or would like to be added to my list of invitees when i get my game up and running (in the next couple weeks). thanks! |

Re: Looking for a San Francisco Home Game
Hi
I moved to SF last year and am trying to start a game. It will be pot limit, casino games only. People seem leery about pot-limit, so I am starting with 25/50 cent blinds and a $50 buy-in, so they can get a feel for it. I am hoping to have a game this Saturday Feb 12. It's not a home game, but just FYI you could play at Artichoke Joe's, which is quite close to SFO (where there's a BART station)

Re: Looking for a San Francisco Home Game
Hey there,
I'm in your email list for Poker Meetup. I see that you're attempting to start a game for February 12th. I saw your RSVP list as only two. I think part of the issue is advertising and time. I think some planning needs to be made in order to maximize the number of people to go. In addition, I don't know how many people are part of Poker Meetup, but I would guess that number is low. Why don't you look below at the following link. It's the annual game I'm trying to put together in late March. Maybe you can put your name in the hat for the host location! Battle Of The Bay II Thanks, Garland |
