Go for overcall or keep betting?
I know this looks real easy, but bear with me. Kinda loose preflop call with 9 handed table, but table was a little more loose/passive than normal in this bonus clearing week. Two opponents are loose and untricky.
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero calls, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button calls, 1 fold, BB checks. Flop: (4.50 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, Button calls, BB folds. Turn: (3.75 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, MP1 calls, Button raises, Hero calls, MP1 calls. River: (9.75 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, MP1 calls, Button raises, Hero 3-bets... Flop I bet out, I dont know where the action is coming from, if any will come, so I take it upon myself. Turn raise screams "I made my flush (or at least a straight if he's not as completely passive as I originally think he is)!" I call, 10 outs to boat or quad up, If by some miracle I'm still ahead raising will drive out MP1, yaddayadda. River I bet looking to trap MP1. All seems fine so far to me. The crux of the matter is, should I really 3-bet the river and most likely fold a passive MP1 who will probably call 1 bet back to him but not 2, and now the only hand that an equally passive button will reraise is a hand that beats me? I win the same either way most of the time, but I can lose 2 extra big bets the rare times when button flips over Q 7 or such. What do you do? Edit: made the subject less vague. |

Re: Go for overcall or keep betting?
this may be way to general, but people at micro limits will call anything, so keep on packing that pot.

nice hand.
PF is fine, especially at a loose passive table. I really like the river. |

Anybody like reraising the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Nope. You'll lose an extra 2 big bets to a flush if you don't boat up - and you have to call a turn cap because you have 10 outs to beat a flush. |
